After two incredible weeks in Malawi, the Whittier Team has safely returned home. We thank God for His protection, guidance, and the opportunity to witness firsthand the amazing things He is doing through ministry, outreach, and transformed lives.

The team experienced God's faithfulness in many ways, building relationships, serving communities, and seeing the impact of His work across Malawi. While many powerful testimonies and stories are still to come, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who supported this journey through your generous financial contributions and faithful prayers. Your partnership made this mission possible, and the impact of your support reached far beyond what words can express.

As the team settles back home, please continue to pray that the seeds planted will continue to bear fruit and that God will use the experiences gained to encourage many others. We look forward to sharing more testimonies in the days ahead.

We thank God for His faithfulness and protection as the team from Whittier has arrived safely in Malawi! 🙏🇲🇼

As they begin their vision trip, we pray that God will open their eyes to see all that He is doing here in Malawi through the people, communities, and ministries they will encounter. May every conversation, every visit, and every experience reveal His love, His power, and His purpose.

We pray that this journey will not only be a blessing to those they meet but also deepen their own faith and strengthen their walk with Christ. May they see God's hand at work in Malawi and return home encouraged, challenged, and transformed by all that He has shown them.

Please join us in praying for the team as they embark on this special journey. May God guide, protect, and inspire them every step of the way.

In Nkhanga, we thank God for the transformation we are witnessing among women as they continue to grow in God’s Word and support one another both spiritually and practically. This month, we were excited to open a new Mother Group at Chasweka with 20 women joining together in faith, fellowship, and encouragement. We praise God for this new beginning and pray that these women will continue to impact their families and communities for Christ. CommunityTransformation

For 5 years, Bernadette lived with pain in her leg, traveling long distances to hospitals in search of help but without receiving the treatment she needed.

This April, through the Y-Malawi Medical Outreach, hope came to her community. Bernadette was invited, treated with love and care, and finally received the assistance she had been praying for.

“I had lost hope because of my condition, but today I feel loved and remembered. May God bless Y-Malawi for bringing healing and hope to my life.” - Bernadette

Among the hundreds of lives touched this month, Bernadette’s story is a reminder that compassion, love, and outreach can bring hope where it is needed most.

She walked into outreach with a smile that said everything before she spoke a word. At 71, she is strong, joyful, and full of gratitude. She came for a simple reason - to say thank you.

“I am praising God for you - what you are doing here has brought us hope,” she shared, her voice steady and full of life. She spoke about how much it means to see Y-Malawi present in her community, caring for people and showing up consistently. Her words were sincere, rooted in faith, and deeply felt.

Moments like this remind us why we keep going. Impact is not only seen in numbers, but in the quiet strength of someone who feels seen, supported, and hopeful.

Rebecca arrived at last year’s medical outreach weak and visibly unwell. Every step seemed heavy, and hope felt distant. But she was met with care, consistency, and people who chose to walk with her through recovery.

Over time, her strength returned. The sickness that once defined her days no longer holds her back. Today, Rebecca is healthy, standing with a quiet confidence that tells the story of what healing can look like when someone is not alone.

This year, she came back - not as a patient, but with a purpose. She came to say thank you. “You loved me when I was sick, and now I am strong again,” she shared. And in that moment, her presence said even more: this is why it matters.

Last Tuesday, our Medical Outreach began in TA Chimutu with a clear goal: reach 1,000 people with care. What unfolded was far greater. With medical experts from the USA and Malawi working side by side, each day brought new faces, new stories, and real moments of healing.

Today, we finished in Kalimanjira having served over 1,500 people. Beyond treatment, those who needed prayer or spiritual support were also cared for - meeting both physical and spiritual needs. It was long days, steady dedication, and a shared commitment that made this possible.

We thank God, our incredible team, and every supporter who stood with us. This is what happens when skill, compassion, and purpose come together. Stay connected - there is more ahead.

Hope in the field!!! Joyce used to look at her field and feel uncertainty. As a mother of two, she worried about how she would provide enough food for her family, even though she had land to farm. It wasn’t a lack of effort - it was a lack of resources and support.

Two years ago, that began to change. Through Y-Malawi, Joyce received fertilizer and joined a farming education program that equipped her with the skills to make her field productive. Today, her harvest is growing, her family has enough to eat, and her confidence has been restored as she prepares for an even stronger season.

“I never thought my field could feed us like this. Now, I see the difference, and I have hope for the future,” Joyce shares. She is deeply grateful and gives thanks to God for the transformation in her life.

Hope and Harvest in Malawi! Joseph used to stand in his field in Kasungu wondering how he would feed his family. The land was there, but without fertilizer or quality seed, it could only produce so much. Like many farmers facing poverty, he was doing everything he could with almost nothing.

In 2024, that started to change. Joseph received corn seed, fertilizer, and training through Y-Malawi’s farming program. With the right tools and new knowledge, his harvest improved. For the first time, he was able to feed his household and sell extra at the market. Today, he stands in that same field just weeks before harvest, surrounded by strong, healthy maize.

“I used to worry about how my family would eat,” Joseph says. “Now I have hope.” What began as support for one farmer is now spreading further. Joseph is sharing what he has learned, helping others grow, one seed at a time.
