This Saturday, Project One Cause founder Annemarie Miller will be speaking at the Boston BioLife Functional Longevity Summit in Dallas, TX.

She’ll be sharing the story of her son Caelum — and the 20-year journey that followed his drowning-related brain injury.

Early on, doctors told Annemarie there was no hope. They encouraged her to end his life.

But Annemarie kept going.

Through years of care, advocacy, therapy, research, and relentless belief, Caelum is here today — living a happy, healthy life, even with the limitations he still carries.

For Project One Cause, this is personal.

We exist because families facing drowning-related brain injuries need more than a diagnosis. They need guidance, resources, financial support, and someone willing to believe with them when the road ahead feels impossible.

We’re honored that Annemarie will be bringing this story into a room full of doctors, practitioners, and leaders who care about what healing can look like beyond the expected outcome.

Some days of progress are quiet.
Some are hard fought.
And some look like this.

We’re grateful to partner with Reimagined OT and witness the level of care, patience, and commitment that goes into intensive occupational therapy sessions for kids like Stella.

These sessions are not easy. They require focus, repetition, trust, and an incredible amount of effort from both the child and the therapists guiding them. But inside that work are moments of growth, confidence, movement, and possibility.

Thank you to Stella and her family for allowing us to document a small part of the journey.

To the mothers carrying more than most people will ever see — we see you.

To the moms showing up for therapy appointments, long nights, uncertain outcomes, small victories, and unimaginable strength… your love changes everything.

Today we honor the mothers who keep going, keep believing, and keep fighting for their children every single day.

Your care becomes courage.
Your presence becomes healing.
Your love becomes hope.

From all of us at Project One Cause — Happy Mother’s Day. 💙

Caelum was a guest on The Telepathy Tapes, with the amazing Ky Dickens, award winning film maker and creator of The Telepathy Tapes! It was absolutely fantastic! Episode will drop in a few weeks, so stayed tuned.

This May, we’re reminding parents and caregivers to stay close, stay alert, and never assume someone else is watching.

Watch. Share. Help this message reach the families who need it most.

Drowning doesn’t look like drowning. 🌊

It’s quick. It’s silent. And it can happen in seconds — even when an adult is right there.

May is Drowning Prevention & Water Safety Awareness Month. This is your reminder to:
👁️ Designate a Water Watcher — no phone, no distractions
🤝 Stay within arm’s reach of young swimmers
🔒 Secure your pool with a self-latching fence
🫀 Learn CPR for infants and children

Active supervision saves lives. It only takes a moment — make sure it’s not the one that changes everything.

🧠 Did you know these 7 foods can harm a brain-injured child’s recovery?

❌ Sugar | Dairy | Soy | Peanuts | Gluten | Bananas | Citrus

These foods trigger inflammation and interfere with the body’s ability to heal. Removing them helps detoxify the body, reduce inflammation, and optimize physiology — giving the brain a better chance to recover.

✅ Good news: Citrus and bananas can be slowly reintroduced after 2–3 months off.
🚫 The other five (sugar, dairy, soy, peanuts, and gluten) should never be reintroduced.

If your child has a brain injury, this simple dietary change could make a significant difference in their healing journey.
