Today LVFA 3624 held its second annual breakfast with retired fire department members. Battalion Chief Mike Vetti, Captain Dan Seawright, Engineer Keith Thompson and Engineer Dave Castanon were in attendance and it was great to see all doing well. This is the response to our current offer to pay our three paramedics what our contract states. One firefighter took the city’s offer of no back pay and just pay him the full paramedic pay and they now rejected it.
The other two offered to take a lower amount of back pay, the city rejected.
The city said all three must take it, no back pay but will pay them the full paramedic pay as the contract states.
