Thank you for visiting Cub Scouts Pack 462 in La Verne!
Our Pack Meetings are held once a month and are an opportunity for our entire Pack, which is made up of all our individual grade level Dens, to come together and celebrate one another's achievement and build group camaraderie through the mentor and friendship of Dens (grades Kindergarten through 5th grade). We also have a lot of fun too, taking part in Cub Scout traditions and hyping up upcoming events and adventures. We are specifically looking for new scouts: Kindergarten through 3rd grade to join our ranks and grow our Pack! And now's a great time to join!
Cub Scouting is really fun for the whole family as parent participation is critical, and siblings are always welcome!
We are a completely parent volunteer organization. The robust and fresh event calendar we try to put out each year is all in thanks to the wonderful and dedicated parents we recruit along with the great kids.
We currently have a Pack of 35 Scouts, mainly from the Bonita Unified Elementary Schools, but also from the surrounding neighborhoods of Glendora, Claremont, Covina, and Upland.
Our Pack scouts are very involved youth that also participate in numerous other school music, city sporting, and other extracurricular activities. The great thing about scouting is that it offers a program to fit your availability and allows you to participate and be as dedicated as what you want to be! We typically have 5 gatherings per month (2 den meetings, 1 pack meeting, 1 weekend hike, 1 fun event). If you can't attend them all ~ that's fine. Come when you can! Earn what you can! If your scout misses a den meeting to earn a badge, often those activities can be done at home to make-up or just skip to catch the next one.
Cub Scouts is a program established to build self confidence, independence, leadership, service skills, STEAM knowledge all in the fun and friendly atmosphere of outdoor scouting adventures.
