We’re almost there, guys! 🙌 Thanks to everyone who showed up! Only three more tees need tiles, and all the sand prep is done.

This is the most labor-intensive project BCTIM has undertaken, and we couldn’t do it without our amazing volunteers! 🧡

Good trails need care, the right equipment, and signs that help visitors find their way.

Baraga County Trails In Motion is raising funds specifically for Pinery Lakes Ski Trails. We’re in need of grooming and trail maintenance equipment, trailhead signage and wayfinding signs.

I’ve always associated TICKS with spring, so I did a little research. Turns out adult blacklegged ticks—also called DEER TICKS—actively look for hosts in the fall and can be active above about 40°F! Wood ticks are active in the spring… who knew there were two seasons, not me!

Keep checking yourselves and your four-legged hiking buddies. Tick season isn’t over yet! 🐾🍂

FYI… just got back from hiking and found this little hitchhiker crawling on my hand—a suspected blacklegged tick, a.k.a. deer tick!

They’re still out there, so check yourselves and your four-legged friends when you come in from the woods. 🐾🌲

SAVE THE DATE! Baraga County Trails In Motion is taking part in the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation's GivingTuesday campaign.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 for the Pinery Lake Ski Trails to help fund:

• Grooming and trail maintenance equipment
• Trailhead signage and wayfinding signs

Signage along the trail to the top of Mt. Bohemia… I love their homemade charm and quirkiness. A little imperfect and full of character—kind of like nature itself. 🌲
