This prestigious honor, awarded by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Tennessee Area Council, highlights the incredible impact their youth basketball program is making on local kids.

Why it’s a Slam Dunk:
👉Historical Milestone: For the first time in their nearly 70-year history, they launched an all-girls league!
👉Youth-Led Creativity: Members in the after-school program took the lead by designing the very uniforms worn on the court.

This summer, teens from across Tennessee traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Summit for America’s Youth (SAY). The Ocoee Region proudly represented our state, with Aubri Whaley taking the main stage to share her story on online safety—an experience that also led to her being featured in a BGCA national campaign.

Excitement is in the air as some of our teens prepare to attend the Summit for America’s Youth (SAY) conference in Washington D.C. this coming weekend. The Ocoee Region has been representing well and we are excited to announce that one of our own, Aubri Whaley, will be speaking on the main stage at SAY, sharing her story surrounding her experience and commitment to online safety. In fact, BGCA's national marketing team has asked to feature Aubri's story in a national campaign!

Now that school is back in, we want to take a moment to reflect on our summer camp.

We had so much fun and got to meet so many new faces from around Anderson and Roane Counties. From field trips to special events like water day and our annual camp cookout, we had a blast learning and playing.
