Members of our Search and Rescue (SAR) Team are currently assisting Great Smoky Mountains National Park Rangers in the search for a missing hiker.

Today, members of Knox County Rescue had the opportunity to attend the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Luncheon in Anderson County.

We are incredibly thankful for the grant funding we received! These funds will be used to purchase new rain gear for our members, along with a PPE washer and dryer to help properly clean and maintain our protective equipment.

Our volunteers spent their Saturday morning sharpening their skills with trailering and side-by-side (SXS) operations training. Training focused on proper hitching, backing, maneuvering, and safe driving techniques.

Knox County Rescue is currently on the scene of a boat fire on Fort Loudoun Lake near Concord Marina, assisting Rural Metro Fire.

Richard Kitts, 57, had been missing for about a week when TWRA officials said they found his body on Wednesday morning.

Knox County Rescue assisted the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) in the search for a missing kayaker in Blount County.

We are incredibly thankful for our dedicated volunteers who answered the call and gave their time to assist with the search.
