❤️ What an incredible day for our community! ❤️

The MyKingstonKids Parade was filled with so much joy, laughter, creativity, and community spirit. Seeing families come together, participants bring their energy and enthusiasm, and our community line the streets made this event truly special.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our generous sponsors for believing in this event and helping make it possible. Your support means more than words can express.

A special thank you as well to everyone who participated in the parade—our local businesses, organizations, schools, groups, clubs, and all those who came out to be part of this special day. Each of you helped bring the parade to life and created wonderful memories for our families and community.

It truly takes a community to create something like this, and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part.

💛 National Bullying Prevention Month

Hey Village 🌿✨

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, but kindness, courage, and accountability matter every day. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, accepted, and valued—at school, at work, online, and in every community. 💚

Bullying is not “kids being kids.” It can be verbal, physical, social, or online, and it can affect people of all ages.

🚩 Watch for possible signs:
✨ Withdrawal, anxiety, sadness, or irritability
✨ Avoiding school, work, or social activities
✨ Changes in sleep, appetite, confidence, or performance
✨ Distress after using social media or electronic devices

Bullying can affect mental health, relationships, self-esteem, school, work, and a person’s sense of safety and belonging. Healing is possible with support, compassion, and early intervention. 💜

🌿 What can we do?

💚 Listen without judgment and take concerns seriously.
💜 Check in privately with anyone who may be targeted.
🌱 Report bullying to a trusted adult, school, workplace, community leader, or professional.
✨ Do not share, like, or encourage hurtful content online.
💪🏽 Hold harmful behavior accountable while helping people learn empathy, communication, and healthier ways to handle conflict.
🛡️ Prioritize safety: Speak up when it is safe to do so, and seek support when you need help.

If you are experiencing bullying, you do not have to face it alone. Tell someone you trust, document repeated incidents when appropriate, and reach out for support.

Being kind isn’t weakness. Asking for help isn’t weakness. Setting boundaries and standing against cruelty are strengths!

Let’s build a Village where everyone feels seen, heard, respected, and supported. 🌿💜

From kites taking flight to six weeks in the fruit forest, our workshops give kids room to build, explore, and grow. ✨

At MyKingstonKids, we’re creating hands-on experiences that spark creativity and lifelong skills, from designing and decorating kites to mindfulness, gardening, cooking, and outdoor exploration through Imagine Nature at Land in Black Hands.

Depression isn’t always visible, and it’s not something you can simply overcome by “thinking positive.” Sometimes, behind a smile, someone may be silently struggling and needing support.

✨ Gratitude, faith, and positivity can bring comfort, but it’s also okay to ask for professional help. You don’t have to face everything alone, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
