The Plus One ADU program is making dreams come true 🏠
Our client came to us at a fork in the road: Find a way to complete the renovation of her 130-year-old farmhouse into a two-family home, or consider putting the property on the market.
As a recent widow and single mother working hard to put her child through college, this client was eager to secure rental income to help support her household. She applied for a HELOC loan to pay for a separate entrance, kitchen renovations, and electrical upgrades, and had made significant progress on the project herself. Unfortunately, after encountering issues with the team working on the renovation, timing was delayed, funding was exhausted, and the unit was still not finished. That's when she contacted us.
"As a single homeowner, the supplemental rental income would provide stability and help sustain the upkeep of my historic home. For the community, the project would add to the limited supply of affordable housing in the area, where demand is high and options are few."
