The Northern Neck Rotary Club is an integral part of Rotary International (RI). RI is a worldwide organization of more than 1.25 million business, professional and community leaders providing humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical standards and helping to build goodwill and peace in the world. Our club is dedicated to making the Northern Neck a better place to live by helping others through worthwhile programs in Lancaster and Northumberland Counties.

Rotarian Robin Hatfield volunteered today for Meals on Wheels. Would you be willing to deliver essential meals to our community neighbors in Lancaster County? We need volunteers each Monday in October from 10am to noon. A background check is required. If you would like more information on how you can help, email [email protected].

We were happy to welcome Katie Parker and Jack Novak from Sandy Point Marine Services and TowBoatUS to talk about the Abandoned Derelict Vessel (ADV) program sponsored by BoatUS. Sandy Point Marine Services handles the program locally that removes abandoned derelict vessels in the waterways in the region. For more information, contact Jack@SandyPointMarine Services.com.

Sandy Point Marine has recently moved to a spacious new location on Industrial Drive in Kilmarnock. We look forward to hearing from Jack! The NNK Rotary Club will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 26 August at 7:30am at the River Counties Community Foundation offices in White Stone. Our speaker will be fellow Rotarian Bill Ehlman. Bill will present our club’s international service work, focusing on the Africa-based Open Arms Home for Children. He will share how our grant funding helps this and other international projects.Join us!
