The Bay Center for Spiritual Development

The Bay Center for Spiritual Development A center for spiritual development! Bring your own lunch and stay to eat together!

THE BAY CENTER LABYRINTH is a symbol of our commitment to offer
ways for others to grow spiritually and a metaphor for the journey
of life: although full of twists and turns, each of us is on a single
path through his or her life, and yet each person’s journey is a
separate and distinct experience. Labyrinths are ancient human
symbols that go back 3500 years, which were incorporated in th

e
floors of the great Gothic pilgrimage cathedrals of France. A
labyrinth is a walking meditation device with a single winding path
from the edge to the center and represents the journey inward to our own true selves and back out
into the world. Our labyrinth is a Vision Quest a la Chartres, has eight circuits, is 42 feet in diameter and available during daylight hours. Please come and walk!

“PRAYERS AT NOON”, Every Thursday, 12–12:30pm
Centering Prayer/Meditation followed by prayers for our community, prayers for peace and prayers offered by those in attendance.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
APRIL 2ND - JUNE 4TH

The Bay Center for Spiritual Development offers a:
GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP that will provide support, understanding, and acceptance through the grieving process. Please join The Bay Center for Spiritual Development on Tuesday, April 9th starting at 2PM for this 10-week series that started on April 2nd and goes through June 4th.

Has someone died that is close to you? Would it help to share? Groups will allow participants to explore, within a “trusting, nurturing and
confidential environment”, their reactions to loss, learn about the grieving process, develop strategies for coping and begin to integrate this change into their lives in order to move forward.

The support group will use the books: Understanding Your Grief, Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart and
the journal that accompanies it by Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D. The introductory session and support group will be led by Sally Edwards and Hal White.

For information, call Sally Edwards at 540-226-2054; Hal White at 804-580-9737; or The Bay Center at 302-373-6757

Grief Support Groups at The Bay Center for Spiritual Development are made possible by The Robert B. Lantz Foundation."
