Over the weekend, TradesUp had the pleasure of attending Historic Trades Day at the Eric Sloane Museum. It was incredible to see such a strong turnout and connect with so many people interested in traditional trades, craftsmanship, and hands-on learning!

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women and girls of TradesUp. From leading hands-on demonstrations at SPARK to exploring new skills in our workshops, they inspire the next generation in the trades.

Their guidance helps young people feel confident trying new skills and see that they belong in a welcoming trades community.

We’re grateful for all they do to make SPARK and our workshops so meaningful!

At TradesUp’s SPARK event, participants don’t just learn about the trades, they try them.

Working with your hands, solving real problems, and seeing tangible results brings a level of satisfaction that’s hard to replicate. By stepping in, using the tools, and experiencing the process firsthand, participants help break the stigma around careers in the trades, and discover new possibilities.

Even if Punxsutawney Phil is predicting six more weeks of winter, we’re already looking ahead to warmer days. Last summer’s TradesUp workshops brought so much energy, hands-on learning, and time spent building skills together, and we can’t wait to do it all again!

As we countdown to spring and summer, we’re getting excited for another season of workshops and opportunities for young people to explore the trades. Stay tuned for our upcoming summer schedule!
