The Benton-Franklin Fair parade is this Saturday, August 22nd. We will be meeting at Park Middle School at 8:00am for a quick set up and then head to check in. We need to be checked in by 9:00am. If you want to come out and meet us after we have checked in, we will share the location here. This is an ARC activity. Please come out and enjoy the morning with your Sisters, Brothers, and their families. We hope to see you there. **Update** We are out of BF fair admission tickets** We will be drawing for the available Horse Heaven Rodeo tickets.**

Rodeo Season is here and we are Sponsors at both the Farm City Pro Rodeo and the Horse Heaven Round-Up.

We have 18 Rodeo box seat tickets available each night in Hermiston starting Wednesday and ending Saturday.
2 tickets can be reserved by calling the Hall, if there are leftovers you may be able to get more.

We have 60 Benton-Franklin fair admission tickets along with 4 Horse Heaven Rodeo Reserved tickets to give away each day in Kennewick from Tuesday-Saturday.

With County Fair season here, we are sponsoring seven youth livestock shows to include Union County, Yakima Valley, Umatilla County, Morrow County, Benton-Franklin County, Walla Walla County, and Columbia Basin Junior Livestock show. We hit over two thirds of all unrepresented licensed electricians in our jurisdiction.

IBEW 112 is moving the needle. They just successfully pulled off the largest blitz we know of in the region - with over 80 volunteers hitting 741 doors of licensed electricians in 7 different counties of mostly rural Washington and Oregon.

They would like to give a special thanks to all of their apprentices in their ARC Program that helped make that happen, to Dyna Electric for sending project managers to help have conversations, and the other locals of the PNW who sent Organizers.

Accomplishments of this level are always a team effort. Thank you for fighting the scorching heat and wildfire smoke to make this happen!

AWS will be holding an open house on the proposed data centers in Wallula. The building trades have been trying to get in front of AWS for years to at least have a conversation on their manpower needs and address them with a community workforce agreement. This is an opportunity for us and all the building trades to show AWS that we can be an ally if they will simply engage with us. We are calling all our members to pack the house next Tuesday August 11th from 4pm - 8pm at Columbia High School, 787 Maple St., in Burbank. Make sure you wear something that will identify you as IBEW so they can see our numbers.
