THE RIP IT 4 RYAN COED CLASSIC
To the dedicated coaches, spirited players, and everyone who joined us for the 3rd Annual Rip It 4 Ryan Coed Classic Memorial Tournament,
As the echoes of this tournament fade, I find myself reflecting on an event that transcended the boundaries of our sport. This tournament was, at its heart, a gathering of community, a testament to our collective spirit, and a heartfelt tribute to those we have lost. We came together not just for the love of the game, but to honor the memory of Ryan and those we have lost, symbolized by the #9, and all lost riders whose lives were cut tragically short.
The message throughout the weekend was clear and critical: the importance of vigilance on our roads. We are all responsible drivers, and the call to "look twice" serves as a powerful reminder that our attentiveness behind the wheel can be the difference between life and sorrow, potentially saving a loved one's life. Thank you for embracing this vital message and helping to spread awareness.
Our immense gratitude goes out to the City of Richland for their unwavering partnership and for providing us with such outstanding fields, allowing us to host this meaningful event year after year.
A special shout-out is also due to my incredible WSL team abd umpires. Your tireless dedication, planning, and collaborative spirit are the backbone of this tournament.
We were also deeply moved by the beautiful tributes offered by Tori and Kylie, whose rendition of the national anthem and reading of the lost riders' prayer touched every heart present. To all the teams, players, and supporters who showed up with such passion, sportsmanship, and unwavering enthusiasm – THAN YOU . Your love and continued support are an immeasurable blessings. While there were moments of overwhelming emotion and minor challenges to navigate, we've gathered valuable insights that will undoubtedly help us grow and enhance our program for an even more impactful tournament next year.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so very much. I have no doubt that Ryan was looking down, filled with immense pride, seeing his memory honored in such an incredible and heartfelt way.
With deepest gratitude,
Love Ryan’s mom
