β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™ LAST WEEK, WE HAD THE HONOR OF SAYING THANK YOU! β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

Last week, the Keller Lions Club was proud to sponsor a meal at JR's for our local first responders.

We want to thank everyone who was able to stop by and join us. It was a small way for us to show our appreciation for the tremendous work you do every day to keep our community safe.

To our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and all first responders β€” thank you for your dedication, courage, and service. Your commitment to protecting and serving our community is appreciated more than words can express.

We would also like to thank JR's for their hospitality and for helping make this event possible.

The Keller Lions Club is proud to support the men and women who answer the call when our community needs them most.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime Keller Lions Club member Fred Held.

Fred joined the Keller Lions Club in May of 1980 and dedicated more than four decades of service to our club and community. He served as Keller Lions Club President from 1996-1997 and was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow for his outstanding commitment to Lionism and helping others. Fred was also a proud U.S. Navy veteran, community leader, former Westlake Alderman and Mayor Pro Tem, and one of the original founders of Westlake Academy.

For many of us, Fred was more than a fellow Lion. He was a mentor, friend, and an example of what it means to live a life of service. His dedication to family, community, and helping others leaves a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations of Lions.

Please keep Ruby and the entire Held family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you, Fred, for your many years of service, leadership, friendship, and for making our community a better place. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

On this Memorial Day, the Keller Lions Club would like to thank all of our fallen heroes and their families for their courage, service, and sacrifice. Their legacy will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends today, let us also take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who gave everything for our country.

We remember. We honor. We thank you.
