🌎✈️ WHAT IF ONE EXPERIENCE COULD CHANGE THE WAY A YOUNG PERSON SEES THE WORLD?
That’s exactly what Rotary Youth Exchange can do.
Join us Thursday, October 22, as Steve Trine introduces us to this incredible Rotary program and how it gives young people the opportunity to experience new cultures, build lifelong friendships, develop independence and leadership, and discover just how big—and connected—our world really is.
And here’s the thing: you don’t have to be a Rotarian to come hear about it!
Know a student who dreams about seeing the world? A parent who wants to learn more? Or maybe you’ve always wondered what Rotary actually DOES beyond those signs you see around town. 😁
Come have breakfast with us and find out!

🦖 **FROM DONUT DOLLIES TO DINOSAURS… JUST ANOTHER THURSDAY AT GOLDEN TRIANGLE ROTARY!** 🇺🇸🍩❤️

What a morning! Our Rotary meetings are always entertaining, but today's meeting was a special combination of **laughter, heartfelt stories, a few tears, and, of course, a little chaos!** 😂

We had the incredible privilege of welcoming **Joan Boyle**, who shared her experiences serving as one of the legendary **Donut Dollies during the Vietnam War.**

These remarkable young women traveled into a war zone to bring a little piece of home to our American servicemen. Through games, laughter, conversations, and simple human connection, they helped lift the spirits of men facing unimaginable circumstances.

❤️ **But what really touched us were the stories that came AFTER the war.**

Joan shared how she stayed connected with veterans she met during her service, the lifelong friendships that developed, and the profound impact those experiences left on her.

There were moments of laughter, moments of reflection, and moments that reminded everyone in the room just how powerful a simple act of kindness can be.

**And THAT is what Rotary is all about. Service Above Self.**

🤣 **Of course, it wouldn't be a Golden Triangle Rotary meeting without a little technical entertainment!**

Joan's iPad decided it wasn't interested in cooperating with our projector. After a little troubleshooting, who came to the rescue?

**BRANDY!** Yes, THAT Brandy! 😂👏

She got the presentation going, proving once again that you never quite know what's going to happen at one of our Thursday morning meetings!

🦖 **And to everyone who attended this morning…**

Just remember, our commitment to **Service Above Self will NEVER go extinct!**

So get out there, make a difference, and have a **ROARING good time** serving your community! 🦖🤣

A huge THANK YOU to Joan Boyle for sharing her stories, her humor, her emotions, and a remarkable piece of American history with us. 🇺🇸❤️

📸 Enjoy some pictures from this morning's memorable meeting!

💙 **Want to be part of something bigger than yourself?**

Come see what Golden Triangle Rotary is all about! We promise great people, meaningful service, interesting speakers, plenty of laughter, and apparently the occasional dinosaur!

🇺🇸 A little laughter. A connection to home. In the middle of a war, those things mattered.

Meet the **Donut Dollies**—American women who volunteered with the Red Cross in Vietnam, bringing recreation, encouragement, and moments of normalcy to troops far from home.

On **Thursday, October 15**, Golden Triangle Rotary welcomes **Joan Boyle** to share her firsthand experiences serving with this remarkable group—and how her commitment to the Red Cross continues today.

It’s a chance to hear history from someone who lived it, and a powerful example of the spirit behind **Service Above Self.**

**Two hours. Six clubs. One mission. And 90 seconds of organized chaos! 🍚💪**

🚁 Fly into the Keller Lions Club building with us, then watch two hours of teamwork kick into high gear!

Today, **Golden Triangle Rotary, Keller Rotary, Southlake Rotary, Keller Lions Club, Key Club International, and Kiwanis** joined forces with **Rise Against Hunger** to pack meals for people facing hunger.

Different clubs. Different generations. Everyone working shoulder to shoulder—scooping, weighing, sealing, boxing, and loading **116 boxes filled with 4,176 bags!** 📦

There were plenty of laughs, a whole lot of rice, and volunteers who gave their Saturday morning to help someone they may never meet. That’s community service in action.

The video is sped up. The commitment is real. And apparently, hairnets are the official uniform of getting things done. 😂

**Want to join us on a future service project? Comment “COUNT ME IN” or message us!** Share this video, tag a volunteer you recognize, and help us get more hands involved in the next mission. 🙌

Six groups. One mission. A whole lot of rice. 💪🍚

This morning, Golden Triangle Rotary, Keller Rotary, Southlake Rotary, Keller Lions Club, Key Club International, and Kiwanis rolled up their sleeves together in partnership with Rise Against Hunger!

Different clubs, different shirts—one assembly line of people determined to make a difference. Scooping, weighing, sealing, boxing, and loading… everyone had a part, and everyone delivered.

📦 116 boxes loaded
🍚 4,176 bags packed
🤯 Nearly 69 MILLION grains of rice! No, we didn’t count them individually. We had other plans this afternoon. 😂

This is what happens when service organizations join forces: more hands, more teamwork, and more help for people facing hunger. A huge thank-you to every volunteer who showed up!

Want to be part of the next effort? Comment “I’M IN” or message us to learn how to get involved. Share this video and show what our community can accomplish together! 🙌
