After lots of introspection this past year Im shifting my philanthropic priorities to something I care deeply aboutβ¦the military squadron family.
Weβre raising money to kickoff a new program, called P.A.C.E., Prepare, Aid, Comfort, Elevate: aimed squarely at young and at risk squadron families.
As a young airman with kids, we fell into debt early, had WIC for milk and formula and qualified for EBT. I remember the feeling of despair every time I was at the grocery store and all I could afford was a meals worth of food. I ended up getting a second job delivering pizzas and Nikki had to go work just to pay the regular bills. I was working 9 hours a day in the USAF, then another 4-6 each night of the week delivering pizzas and making hot sandwiches and cold salads.
Im in a great position to start a program that levels the playing field for those that need to push harder to make every day feel sustainable.
Im targeting these funds to be used for relief that your squadron mates can nominate to us for help. We want to fundraise purposefully, and lightning focused for the family and their specific need. Shirts, commanders, supervisors, neighbors.
Because of the re-org, Iβm losing my donor base that was helping folks with disaster response and immigration and starting from scratch.
First fundraising product is custom pillows. We can take your picture, a cartoon, AI created or whatever, and make custom pillows for you. We started with the PACE mascot.
