Kairos Prison Ministry International
2025 Annual Conference
July 24th - 26th, Augusta GA
August 11, 2025
Blessings Kairos; beloved of God!
My experience (1st time) attending the Annual 2025 Kairos Conference:
Amazing!
Attending this conference left me revived, renewed and energized to continue to serve God in any capacity possible.
The conference was and is a place of people melding together in the Spirit in Christ Jesus; like-minder believers who come together to exercise the goal of ministering together in the name of Jesus, for Jesus, to the glory of God.
The conference this year 2025 was “a HEART to SERVE”
Fellowship within the body of Christ.
Meeting new and existing brothers and sisters affiliated with the Kairos ministry.
Fellowship was amazing. Our Walls were non-existent.
Testimony.
The word testimony speaks for itself as we listen, listen, love, love (L,L,L,L) each other throughout the weekend. Again, our Walls were non-existent.
Encouragement.
We are not alone and we are not islands. We belong to each other in Christ and we cannot act apart from each other, which leads to; One heart and one mind in ministry toward God for the Glory of God.
Growth.
As individuals and as team volunteers throughout the United States and in several countries this Conference promotes Growth!
A series of Workshops scheduled throughout the weekend reinforce what we carry in our hands.
The Word of God and our Program Manual. We were told repeatedly to “Stay within the Riverbanks!” This important directive will not change any time soon.
Stay Focused.
Leadership repeatedly referred back to the Kairos Mission and the Kairos Core Values.
“Core” values, rightly named. It’s what we do and who we are.
My favorite workshop if I was asked to choose:
Unity of Faith: Common Ground (ONENESS)
Unity of faith is where the richness of diversity meets the strength of our shared belief, demonstrating that in Christ, unity and diversity can stand together when standing on common ground.
The Devotion & Opening Prayer:
God of grace and unity, WE thank You for bringing US together. WE ask for open hearts, wisdom, and the presence of Your Holy Spirit to guide us as WE seek to grow in our calling.
May our time TOGETHER; deepen our understanding, strengthen our unity, and renew our mission in Kairos, in Jesus’ name. Amen
My personal workshop notes:
If as a weekend leader you are skipper of the boat: remember, as you navigate forward, beaware; behind you is a wake! People on one side or the other of your wake might become “injured” or “built up” depending on your striving to “get things done!”
Our words and actions have power!
(My afterthought: The above applies to everyone, whether we are on a Council with each other or training / or working / or planning together or whether we are in the presence of participants.)
No one is an Island.
We all believe. Don’t jump to judging. (L,L,L,L)
Barriers in Unity
“Ego, assumptions, lack of communication, others?”
Practice Unity
Our Unity in Christ Jesus does not erase our differences, it brings us together.
Tools to overcome division: “Humility, listening, prayer, Kairos Covenant.
James 1:19 “Be quick to listen, slow to speak.”
The bond of Peace between you and (me) others has to be for the betterment of the ministry.
Closing & sending Forth
Pray for unity in and among your Kairos community.
Encourage open hearts and listening ears, L,L,L,L.
Carry this Spirit home with you.
We are sent as one in Christ!
