Fun times at our MyRide Valentines Party! A huge thank you to our drivers for helping get our riders to the party and to Mike Thornton for the amazing singing! We are so grateful and everyone said they had GREAT time! Thank you to Cindy (our coffeehouse manager) for making the delicious lunch, to our volunteers that helped get us ready and donated to the party (Libby and Ronnie) And thank you to Seymour Heights Christian Church for sponsoring today’s food. We were blessed to have all of you make this memorable event happen!!!

So this is how our Tuesday looked. We were able to give our riders, drivers, and a few others a fabulous Christmas party. We had a great buffet of marinated tenderloin, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn casserole, slaw, broccoli salad and home made rolls topped off with homemade blueberry cobbler, brownies and cupcakes! We played games, had prizes and sang a few bars of Christmas songs. Fun was had by all. How was yours??

MyRide Sevier County wants to thank ALL of its volunteers! Without you we would not be able to provide transportation to many seniors who need assistance in getting to medical appointments, grocery stores and pharmacies. A special shout out goes to Dan C. for being our outstanding volunteer of the year! Dan has driven over 2500 miles since he began volunteering in September 2019! Thank you, Dan, and to all of our volunteers! You are making a DIFFERENCE!

Could you or someone you know use some assistance getting to the grocery store, doctor appointments or the pharmacy? MyRide Sevier County has a few openings for riders 60 and older in their membership based transportation program. Riders must reside in Sevier County and be ambulatory. Members pay a $25 annual membership fee and $6 for round trips within the county. For more information, please call 865-773-0715.

Attention: Volunteer Drivers Urgently Needed!

MyRide Sevier County is urgently seeking volunteer drivers to take senior citizens to needed medical appointments, grocery stores and pharmacies within the county! We currently have a waiting list of over 20 senior citizens in our county that need help getting to these much-needed services. We provide training, additional auto insurance, and the usage of software that allows you to choose only the rides you want to give. Volunteer as little as one ride a month or as much as you want!
