Nine Lives & More Rescue

Nine Lives & More Rescue Our rescue is foster based. We are a 501c3 nonprofit. We take in kittens and cats and adopt through events and advertising.

We also help the community by transporting to spay/neuter appointments every month.

Thank you everyone for all of the support. Canned kitten food is so expensive. We appreciate everyone and everything you do for us.

This little darling was running in traffic yesterday.

One of our awesome fosters was in Beaverton and rushed here to pick her up. Hopefully we can encourage this site to utilize the CCP appointments available. They like the cats taking care of the rodent population, but the numbers can get out of control so fast.

Thank you Ashley Bonner for your dedication to animals.

What these poor cats go through on a daily basis living outdoors. It’s so sad and absolutely heartbreaking.

An unhappy resident decided to trap one of this one’s littermates and was planning on moving him. No plan on fixing or a planned spot. Just trapping and making sure it wasn’t here anymore.

I was tagged in this post and reached out to their local group Woodland Wa Feral Cats to see if we took the kitten, would they be able to trap and fix mom?

The sibling was brought to us and was our escaped kitten in our van a few days ago.

Last night we went to pick up more kittens and move to our carriers. While carrying the wire cage they had them in over to our van to transfer them, one slipped through the bars.

After a bit more chaos, I transferred one from a trap and another from the cage. Not saying the caged one didn’t give my husband a heart attack, he jumped on my head, but I was more worried about not letting the mom grab me because, of course, she was in the cage too.

Mom is still in the cage with food, water and litter, but no appointment. This is why we stress MAKE A PLAN BEFORE TRAPPING. This gal wasn’t the one to start this, her neighbor did. She just didn’t want them dumped somewhere else.

I was told there’s at least 10 more in the blackberry bushes. There just isn’t enough of us to help every cat. I’m really sorry.

That being said, we are low on funds, owe several vet bills and cold use more canned food for these big appetites. I’ll attach the wishlist if you can help feed them.

It’s absolutely crazy out there and we can’t help everyone. Please be patient.

ALSO, I’m visiting my family this weekend so I’m going to take a few days with them. My grandkids want to visit the kittens and go swimming so I’m going to enjoy them.

Have a great weekend!

Just dropped three cats for surgery at Humane Society for Southwest Washington Longview Campus. A fourth going to Vancouver.

Team work this week has been incredible!

Thank you Olivia Chambers and Stacy Ellen for your work with getting these CCP cats and transportation. Thank you Whiskers Hope Rescue for sharing an extra appointment.

Thank you to all involved in yesterday. Terrie Wingo, Diana Allen, Ashley Bonner, Laura Cole. We pulled something off yesterday!🤣

Of course, thanks to everyone for all of the support and anyone I may have forgotten.

Going home to feed everyone and going back to bed!

Finally warm enough to eat. It’s going to be a long night. Good thing I enjoyed myself earlier today and visited friends.

Did you know the most important thing when finding a baby is getting it warm? Even in hot temperatures, they still need a heat source offered. Their temperature is supposed to be around 101.

Please understand we all need to help out in these situations. I’ve received so many messages for help today. Luckily I had fosters willing to help. We transferred a few around and made room for new babies, but we can’t help all of them. I feel horrible about how many cats need our help, but it isn’t possible to help them all.

Guess what this is?

Caught the escap*e! A pinch and a few nail punctures and of course a bit of p*e and we have one unhappy kitten.

Don’t bring kittens in a cardboard box. Especially when my husband swears it needs to go in a carrier to travel.

I think I’m going on strike!

Just filled up the van and it cost $87 plus change. Bought food and litter for a couple of fosters. And kittens in traps two days in a row.

Can I strike?
