We are back from spring break and jumping into the home stretch of our spring term! Here is a peek at what our classes have been up to lately:

🌱 Elephant and Piggie: learning about effort and practicing it outside with a ball, a cone, and a very unhelpful wind 😄

🐸 Animals and Habitats: exploring pond life and the creatures that call it home

🌸 Spring Nature Study: learning about the spring equinox and why we have seasons

⚔️ Activate Imagination P.E.: going full medieval with a knights and castles theme, competing in teams to land balls in buckets and shoot flaming arrows

💡 Curiosity Workshop: building circuits and getting a lightbulb to actually turn on. A few wires got a little smoky but everyone powered their bulb!

✍️ Poetry: working through different poem types and building their very own handmade poetry books

💪 Amazing Bodies: learning how muscles work and discovering that your jaw is stronger than you think

🤟 Intro to ASL: practicing scripted conversations and playing Battleship to master the alphabet and numbers

✈️ Flat Stanley Globe Trotters: following Stanley all the way to Las Vegas

🥚 Critical Thinking: tackling riddles, balloon and egg drop challenges

🏛️ America’s History: foraging outside for diorama materials and learning about the Battle of Lexington and Concord

So grateful for these families and the curious, joyful way these kids show up every week.

Still waiting on the sunshine… but co-op hasn’t slowed down! 😅

Lots of movement, projects, and “try again” moments these last few weeks. A little loud, a little messy, and really good.

Grateful for this crew as we head into spring break.
Hope you all get some rest… and maybe some sunshine too ☀️

We’re excited to kick off First Fridays in the Park! 🌿

On the first Friday of each month, we’ll gather at a local playground for an easy, relaxed afternoon together. It’s a chance for the kids to run and play, for parents to connect, and for new and familiar faces to meet up outside of class time.

Our first meet-up is:

📅 Friday, March 6th
⏰ 2:30–4:00pm
📍 Kalama Waterfront Park

If you’re part of our co-op, we’d love to see you there. If you’re a local homeschool family who’s been curious about us, this is a great opportunity to come say hello.

Looking forward to a fun afternoon at the park! 🌳

Sometimes with all the teaching we do with our kids, we wonder if they are listening. That's why this was such a fun moment to catch in class!

All month we've been talking about our Character Trait of the Month: Responsibility. Kiddos are challenged each week to describe what responsibility looks like at home, during school, and at Co-Op!

Today these sweet friends decided to be responsible by cleaning up their class supplies and work TOGETHER!

It’s the small, unseen seeds that end up growing into something beautiful. 🌱
