Hi friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and care during my recovery. I feel that I have healed well from the surgery, although I am still under a lifting restriction of no more than 20 pounds for a few more weeks. I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made and look forward to having that restriction lifted soon.
I also want to thank you for your patience as I have been praying and seeking the Lord about what may be next for us. This has not been an easy decision, but after much prayer and consideration, I feel confident that it is time for me to retire.
There are many factors that have made this a difficult choice. Still, I have peace that it is the right one. What the Lord has ahead for us remains something of a mystery, but He has faithfully led us throughout the years, and we have always tried to respond when He called. We trust that He will continue to guide our steps in the days ahead.
With that in mind, we have determined that it is time to bring both the Sunday service for Connect Virtual Church and the morning reading group, Pastor Bill’s Christian Life Group, to a close.
The Connect Virtual Church website, connectvirtualchurch.com, and our social-media presence will remain available as long as they continue to be helpful and relevant. From time to time, I hope to share videos, articles, and other resources that may encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
We also want to express our deep gratitude to those who have supported this ministry financially. Your generosity, prayers, and confidence have made this work possible. Thank you for investing in what we believe has been a meaningful Kingdom ministry.
As many of you know, I have lived with chronic pain for many years. Over time, it has also brought serious challenges with sleep. When my sleep is disturbed, the pain I experience the next day is usually much greater. During this time away, Lynda and I have noticed that my sleep patterns have slowly begun to improve. I have been able to sleep a little longer than in the past, and that has been a real help.
For quite some time, we have felt that the 6:30 a.m. schedule was not the best fit for my health and sleep needs. This season of rest has only confirmed that concern and has helped us better understand the importance of making room for healing.
Once again, please know how deeply I appreciate each of you. I have loved our times together, our conversations, our prayers, and the opportunity to grow in Christ alongside you.
Sometimes what feels like an ending is really the beginning of something new—and perhaps something even greater than we can yet see. We do not know all that lies ahead, but we know the One who holds the future.
May God continue to bless you, strengthen you, and use you as you walk faithfully and steadily with Jesus.
With love and gratitude,
Pastor Bill & Lynda Mann
