As we step into a new year, we reflect with gratitude on the strength of our community and the impact we’ve made together. Thanks to our partners, supporters, and advocates, we continue working toward collaborative solutions that help Lane County low-income seniors maintain their well-being and independence.

In the year ahead, we look forward to deepening connections, strengthening collaboration, and continuing to support older adults across our community with compassion and care.

Our mentor, leader, and the President of Lane Senior Support Coalition, Lee Bliven, was awarded the Senior Provider Information Network (SPIN) person of the year at our annual holiday meeting yesterday.
Lee was given this honor for all of the work he does for the seniors in Lane County. If you don’t know him you need to. So proud to work alongside this man who gives so much of his life to our community.

With ongoing uncertainty around federal supports and household food budgets tightening for many families, it’s important to know where local food resources are available. More than 75,000 Lane County residents rely on SNAP, and any disruption can add stress for households across the community.

Food for Lane County, the region’s largest nonprofit food bank, lists 59 food pantries and meal sites across Lane County where community members can access free meals or groceries to take home.

What an amazing success our Taste of the Town event was last night. Thank you to all who came out and participated.
