- Luminaries is not centered on digital platforms, but uses analog, everyday tools, that can be used throug

hout their Survivorship journey.
- Most importantly, Luminaries works hand-in-hand with Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University to ground the survivorship solutions in science and research, allowing a high-quality Survivorship program to reach across the nation. Creates Care at Scale:

- Luminaries eliminates socio-demographic disparities of survivorship and cancer
- Luminaries removes roadblocks to post-treatment care, such as transportation, childcare issues, access to the internet or missing work
- Luminaries reaches underserved survivors in areas what don’t have access to world-class survivorship programs

August is World Cancer Support Month.

As we know, cancer changes so much, but support can change the journey. A caring voice, a helping hand, a moment of encouragement, or simply knowing someone is there can mean more than we realize.

This World Cancer Support Month, take a moment to reach out, lift someone up, and remind someone facing cancer that they are not alone. Sometimes, simply being there can make all the difference.

💛 Strength Doesn't Have an Expiration Date 💛
Did you know singer Carly Simon is a breast cancer survivor, diagnosed back in 1997? This week, she shared why she's stepped back from public life: she's living with Parkinson's disease and was also treated for skin cancer.

Her honesty is a gift. She didn't sugarcoat the hard days, but she also reminded us that survivorship isn't a straight line. It's ongoing, layered, and deeply human.

To anyone carrying more than one diagnosis or facing some difficult challenges, our Luminaries community is here for you. www.Luminaries.life

💛 July is Sarcoma & Bone Cancer Awareness Month 💛
This month shines a light on sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that develops in the bones or soft tissues, including muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissues. It's a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support those whose lives have been impacted.

At Luminaries Cancer Survivorship, we know that survivorship is a journey that continues long after treatment ends. We're here to provide support, connection, resources, and hope for survivors and their families every step of the way.

This July, we honor the strength and resilience of those affected by sarcoma and bone cancer, and we stand with our survivor community today and every day. 💛

June is National Cancer Survivors Month, a time to recognize and honor the strength of those living beyond cancer.

In 2025, an estimated 79% of cancer survivors in the United States are age 60 or older, a powerful reminder that survivorship spans generations, and that thousands of older adults continue to navigate life after cancer with courage, resilience, and determination.

At Luminaries Cancer Survivorship, we are committed to supporting survivors at every stage of life with resources, connection, and care that help them move forward with confidence and hope.

This month, we honor every survivor and the journey that continues long after treatment ends.

June is National Cancer Survivors Month - a time to recognize and honor the millions of people who are living beyond cancer and redefining what survivorship means every day.

It is estimated that there are 18.6 million cancer survivors in the United States. That represents approximately 5.4% of the population - 18.6 million unique stories of strength, resilience, healing, and hope.

At Luminaries Cancer Survivorship, we see what that number truly represents: individuals and families navigating life after cancer, each with their own challenges, victories, and ongoing needs. Survivorship doesn’t end when treatment does, and support shouldn’t either.

This month reminds us why our work matters. We are here to provide connection, resources, education, and encouragement to help survivors not just live, but truly live well beyond cancer.

To every survivor: you are seen, you are valued, and your journey matters.

June is National Cancer Survivor Month - a time to honor the courage, resilience, and strength of the millions of people who have faced cancer and continue to move forward in their survivorship journey.

At Luminaries Cancer Survivorship, this month holds special meaning. Every day, we are committed to walking alongside survivors as they navigate life after diagnosis providing support, connection, education, and resources that help restore confidence, well-being, and hope. Survivorship doesn’t end when treatment does, and neither does our support.

National Cancer Survivor Month is also a reminder that survivorship looks different for everyone. It’s about celebrating milestones big and small, recognizing the ongoing challenges survivors may face, and building a community where no one has to go through it alone.

We are proud to do this work and deeply grateful to the survivors who inspire it every day. This June, and all year long, we honor your strength and continue our commitment to supporting you every step of the way.
