Congratulations to 2025 Herbek Humanitarian Award recipient Dr. Baljit Singh and White Plains Hospital (WPH) on successfully holding their 8th See, Test & Treat program this weekend! We are so proud to partner with this committed institution (and its very friendly bear!), who has connected hundreds of medically underserved patients to free cancer screenings, health education, same day results and follow-up care when needed through their See, Test & Treat events.

See, Test & Treat is a screening and health education program for uninsured and underinsured patients that meet eligibility guidelines for the program

It offers FREE cervical, breast, oral, and lung screenings, as well as other offerings and education on general health and wellness

🌟 The Power of Showing Up 🌟

Giving back doesn’t always require a board title or a big event—it can be as simple (and as powerful) as being there for someone in need.

A recent story from KETV highlighted Dr. Deb Perry, CAP Foundation Board member, who volunteers as a NICU cuddler at Methodist Women’s Hospital in Omaha. By holding and comforting newborns in the NICU, she gives warmth and connection to the tiniest patients when parents can’t always be there. 💛

Dr. Perry’s service is a reminder that compassion comes in many forms and small acts can have a lasting impact. This is just one example of how CAP Foundation Board members live out the Foundation’s mission beyond the boardroom—through mentorship, advocacy, volunteering, and strengthening their local communities.
