This free community event, presented in collaboration with FAVOR Laurel Highlands, Cambria County HealthChoices and Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, promotes the benefits of prevention, treatment and recovery through education, support and family-friendly activities.

Is your organization listed on PA 211? 📣

When someone in our community needs help finding food, housing, child care, transportation, utility assistance, mental health resources, or other support, PA 211 is often the place they turn first.

That’s why it’s so important for community organizations to make sure their information is listed, accurate, and up to date.

If your organization provides services to individuals and families, we encourage you to:

✅ Register your organization with PA 211 if you aren’t already listed
✅ Review your existing profile to make sure your information is accurate
✅ Update your services, eligibility requirements, hours, contact information, and locations as needed

A current PA 211 profile helps ensure that when a neighbor reaches out for help, they can find the right resource at the right time.

Your organization may be the connection someone needs. Make sure they can find you.

Happy Thursday 💚

As the week moves along, this is a gentle reminder that mental health matters every day—not just when things feel overwhelming.

Check in with yourself. Check in with someone you care about. A simple "How are you, really?" can make a bigger difference than you realize.

It's okay to celebrate small victories, ask for help when you need it, rest without guilt, and take things one step at a time. Strength isn't about carrying everything alone—it's also about knowing when to lean on others.

May today bring you a little more peace, a little more hope, and a reminder that kindness, compassion, and understanding can change someone's day—including your own.

Take care of your mind. Be gentle with your heart. And if someone crosses your mind today, reach out. You never know how much that connection might mean.

Congrats to the PEN drop in, Maryann and EACH EMPLOYEE there for all they do. A well deserved token of appreciation and support for the incredible work you all do. CSP is so grateful for PEN…being our host and stomping grounds!! It wouldn’t be functioning without you!

A Heartfelt Thank You to United Way of the Southern Alleghenies!

Peer Empowerment Network (PEN) Drop In Center is incredibly grateful to receive a $15,000 program allocation grant from United Way of the Southern Alleghenies for 2026.

This funding will help us continue providing vital peer support, recovery-focused services, advocacy, and community connections that empower individuals throughout Cambria County and the surrounding region.

We are thankful for United Way's continued investment in organizations that make a difference in the lives of community members every day. Partnerships like this allow us to expand opportunities, strengthen support systems, and ensure that individuals facing mental health and other life challenges have access to the resources they need.

Thank you, again to United Way of the Southern Alleghenies for believing in our mission and helping us continue the important work of empowering people, fostering recovery, and building a stronger community.

Happy Friday! Cambria County CSP had an amazing time at the Magellan STAR Summit this week! And we are so grateful for the new faces at yesterday's monthly meeting! We love to see how this group is growing and working together. Thank you for letting us be a meaningful part of the local community.
