There are places on a campus where people gather.

And then there are places where people become quiet.

Near Eagles Rising in the Perrella Sculpture Garden stands a piece of the North Tower — a section of the antenna that once served as a communications center for television and radio broadcasting.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, that artifact carries a weight that is difficult to put into words.

On the morning of September 11, our campus community will gather near Eagles Rising to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless people impacted by the events of that day.

We also invite members of our community to spend a few quiet moments walking through the memorial.

To remember.

To reflect.

And to ensure that 25 years later, we still make time to honor what must never be forgotten.

There’s something special about seeing an idea become a place.

Not a rendering. Not a fundraising goal. A real field where student-athletes are already practicing, competing, growing, and making memories.

This fall, we’ll celebrate another important chapter with the dedication of Delaney Family Field.

The new turf is more than an athletic upgrade. It gives FM a safer, more versatile place to compete, strengthens our ability to recruit talented student-athletes, and creates opportunities for tournaments, events, and greater community use.

But maybe the best part is the simplest: students are already out there using it.

That’s what lasting support looks like.

We look forward to celebrating the Delaney Family Field dedication with Raider Nation this fall. 💙

Some of the best things about fall happen outside the classroom.

This season, the Perrella Gallery will welcome the work of former SUNY FMCC Art Director Joel Chapin and artist Valerie Carrigan — bringing new opportunities to experience art, ideas, and creative expression right here on campus.

And there’s more.

Artist Barney Bellinger will also be adding a new sculpture to the campus collection this fall.

That means something new to discover, something new to talk about, and probably something you’ll want to walk around twice just to take it all in.

The arts have a wonderful way of making a campus feel alive.

We can’t wait to see what this season brings. 🎨

A scholarship can change a semester.

Sometimes, it changes much more than that.

It can mean the bill gets paid.
The stress gets lighter.
The dream stays alive.
The student stays enrolled.
The future stays possible.

That is the quiet power of scholarships. They often begin with one gift and end up changing the direction of a life.

And that is a pretty incredible story to be part of.

Some places ask you to stop for a moment.

The Perrella Sculpture Garden is one of those places.

On our campus, we are honored to have a piece of the North Tower beside Eagles Rising — a memorial that gives students, families, alumni, and visitors a place to pause, remember, and reflect.

Fifty years is a long time.

Long enough for one scholarship to become a career.
Long enough for one gift to become a tradition.
Long enough for generations of students to walk across campus and into a better future because someone believed in them.

That is what 50 years of impact really means.

It means kindness that kept going.
Generosity that kept growing.
And a community that kept showing up.

The best part of this story? We are still writing it.

A great field does more than host a game.

It helps attract talented student-athletes. It creates a safer place to train and compete. It gives multiple sports a high-quality space to use. And it opens the door to tournaments, visitors, and new energy for both the college and the community.

That’s why the new turf fields matter so much.

They are not just an upgrade. They are an investment in the future of FM athletics and in the students who wear Raider blue with pride. And now that the fields are here and already in use, the impact is no longer just a vision — it is happening in real time.

This is what support looks like when it turns into something students can actually use, enjoy, and grow on.
