Widespread rain and strong winds begin tonight through Friday. Rain will pond in urban, poor drainage, and low-lying areas, due to its moderate to heavy nature at times, and will be worsened by snowmelt. However, flash flooding, river flooding, and ice jams are not a concern. The current wind gust forecast has widespread 40 to 50 mph gusts. Gusts of these magnitudes have the potential to cause isolated to scattered power outages and property damage from downed trees, limbs, and power lines.
