Hey Rhode Island! Would you do us a favor, please?

Our biggest fundraising event of the year is happening on Friday April 17 - our Fill the Racks Luncheon. We know you want RI's kids to look and feel their best in school, so here is how you can continue to help us help them.

1. Share this post with employers. Many businesses want to support local non-profit organizations, but not all businesses have heard of CTKRI. You introduce us, we'll reach out!

2. Tell your family and friends. Providing clothes to needy kids is something that brings people together. It's a conversation that unites, and collecting donations as a group makes everyone feel better. Helping others really helps ourselves. Win-win!

3. Join this year's donors. So many people collect new and gently used clothes for school-age kids (pre-school age 5 through high school). Many more make a financial contribution through our website. You probably are one of them, and we thank you! Our work for 2026 is already underway. We can't do it without you.

4. Come join us on Friday, April 17 for lunch! A great cause, and a great time.

Thank you to all the generous supporters at our coat drive at the Amp on Friday for the PC game. Friar fans helped us raise over $2,000 and collect dozens of winter coats.

This is a season to celebrate miracles. Lamps that stayed lit in the temple for 8 days using just one day’s supply of oil. A child born of a poor virgin, somehow announced by a bright light in the sky.

What’s your favorite holiday song?

One of our favorites is “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” It seemed so real, not about reindeer or snowmen but people in need right now. Families in Rhode Island are also in need.

96% of the children who walk through our doors come from low- or extremely low-income families, and the clothing you help us provide makes a profound difference in their confidence, comfort, and sense of belonging.

On Friday December 19 at the AMP, bring a new or gently used coat for elementary ages, or if you prefer, let us do the shopping with your financial donation. Then watch the PC vs. Seton Hall game at 6:30pm.

At the end of December, Clothes to Kids RI will celebrate ten years of opening doors - and closets - for children across Providence County. Brrr. It's a cold morning today. Some kids will have to wear an old coat that others will laugh at. Some kids will not have a coat to wear at all.

You can help.

Donate a new or gently used winter coat of any size for kids from 5 to 18 years of age. Or your financial contribution allows us to do the shopping for you.
