I never like people seeing my aviary when it's dirty but I also think it's important for people to know the work that goes into it and why I have to set an entire day to cleaning on the weekend.

I desperately need adopters; if anyone has been thinking about a pet pigeon or establishing a little aviary, now is the time.

Intakes are closed due to construction in the indoor rehab room and calls have been coming in daily for domestic pigeons in need of rescue.

Here is a video today of the 60 or so pigeons currently in care.

Due to a water leak in the indoor pigeon room that caused black mold, I have to close to pigeon intakes until it's fixed. Currently the wall is down to the studs and being aired out and the wood treated with mold killer 😬.

All current pigeons inside were evacuated to a contained location within the aviary.

Today is National Pigeon Appreciation Day!

Hopefully everyone saw, and appreciated a pigeon wherever you are in the world.

This pigeon was lucky enough to be adopted on this special day for pigeons. She was so new that she didn't even have a name yet! About two weeks ago, I rescued this girl at a horse farm in Exeter, RI. She was grounded, so critically emaciated that I had no hope she would survive the few days following her rescue and I made her warm and comfortable. She surprised even me with her resilience and not only survived, but thrived the two weeks she was with me.

She went to a wonderful former adopter of mine who has several very handsome and eligible bachelor pigeons she can choose from to start her new life, safe and free from exploitation.

Hello everyone!

I am in need of pigeon homes for both pairs and singles! The aviary is overfull so if anyone has aviary space in a predator-proofed aviary or inside their homes for some wonderful pigeons, reach out!

Rehab season is beginning, as is wedding season so we will start to see an influx in ceremonial release pigeons that come in lost, very sick, and injured.
