A hospital experience can be terrifying and traumatic for both a child and their family. While others strive to find a cure, the Ryan’s Case for Smiles project at Hasbro Childrens Hospital helps with the stress and emotional impact of illness in the here and now. One of the ways to give children an emotional boost are whimsical pillowcases created for the Ryan's Case for Smiles project. Several local Lions Clubs have been involved creating these pillowcases for donation. Recently, a total of 364 pillowcases were donated, 194 of them from the Tiverton Lions Club makers including Ann Pelletier, Ann Budlong and Sue Guilmette, a brand-new member who made 105 herself!

The Tiverton Lions donated $300 worth of school supplies to the Pocasset Elementary School on October 6th. Members of the Tiverton Lions were joined by the 4th grade class. NBC in concert. Tiverton Lions Club is holding its 11th Henri J Pare Scholarship Chorus Night May 18, 2024 in the VFW Hall, 134 Shove St. Tiverton, RI. Show starts at 7:30. Cost is $15.00 includes complimentary pastries and coffee and tea. Cash bar will be open.

The Tiverton Lions Club and the students of Fort Barton School collected new clothing articles and toiletries for the residents of the Bristol Veteran’s Home for Christmas.

The Tiverton Lions Club were at Ranger School for Trunk-or-Treat last night and had a great time, passing out light sticks to rougly 600 kids, great fun! Thanks to Tiverton Recreation Department for hosting this event.

Thanks to all the folks that donated soft goods, books, and household items to our SAVERS Fundrive. We gathered up 3,730 pounds of stuff helping to clear out closets, basements and garages. The money raised will help fund the many charitable activities supported by the Lions.

Clean out your closets and cupboards for the Tiverton Lions Club! Start collecting now and turn in between now and our final intake day: Friday, October 20th. You can turn materials in at Family Ties restaurant in Tiverton whenever they are open, Tuesday through Sunday.

We Are Collecting:
1) Clothes (men's, women's and children's clothes, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, ties, belts, backpacks, etc.
2) Household Textiles (bedding, comforters, blankets, sheets, towels, linen, tablecloths, curtains, pillows, etc.)
3) Small Household Goods (kitchen items (such as pots/pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, serving pieces and hand-held appliances), home decorative items, knick-knacks, toys, games, and small electronics)
4) Books, CDs, DVDs, other media (paperback, hard cover - all genres) *no encyclopedias or text books

Please use bags for clothes and textiles and tightly pack boxes of small household goods and books/media. Separate books from household goods and media. All items must be clean and in sellable condition.
