This page has done its job; we had a fantastic event for the Westmoreland Fayette Council, Scouting America celebrating our nation's birthday. Thank you to all the great folks that helped staff Camporee 250. If you did not receive your staff patch yet, it is at the Westmoreland Fayette Council, Scouting America Office in Greensburg. See list. If you helped staff and you are not on the list, let me know and we'll see what we can do to recognize you. Also, BSA Troop 257 Irwin Pa your regular patches are also at the Office for you to pick up. (Don't forget to pick up those souvenir trays if you already ordered and paid for them - they're there too).

Our good friends at Bushy Run Battlefield are looking for help with their reenactment August 1 and 2. Here's a sneak peak with more details coming soon: "Must be 14 years of age or older /

Our patch company shorted us 100 patches and some of our Units were kind enough to forgo getting patches at the Camporee so that others can get them first. Thank you for your patience and your patches are now at the Westmoreland Fayette Council, Scouting America Service Center ready to be picked up: Pack 254, Troop 251, BSA Troop 257 Irwin Pa, Boy Scout Troop 284 of Irwin, and Troop 1211.

If you ordered and paid for a Puzzle Piece Tray, Ken Koncerak will have them at the OA Weekend this weekend at Conestoga. They will then be at the Westmoreland Fayette Council, Scouting America Service Center. Also, if your Unit did not receive patches (as we were shorted by the patch company) those patches will also be available. Thank you!

We were so very lucky to have Patrick Emmett McBride join us at Camporee 250 as Franklin Alive. What a wonderful man and a genuine scholar. So sorry to share the news of his passing with the Scouting community.

Bushy Run Battlefield is saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, Patrick McBride. Many of you may remember Pat from his recent participation in the 250th Anniversary Camporee. Since becoming involved in the reenacting community in 2019, Pat was a valued friend to Bushy Run and a familiar face at living history events. His passion for history, kindness, and friendship will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
