A message from our Founder 💕
Exciting changes are happening at Free-Op! We’re sharing a bittersweet “see you later” from our CEO and Founder, Maddie. 💗
My time running the store will be coming to a close this week, and I’m feeling SO MANY things... proud of what we’ve accomplished, at peace with my decision, a little sad to say goodbye, and so excited to see what the future holds. It has been such a valuable experience to take Free-Op from just a little idea to a real tangible community resource. I’ve learned so much about the needs of our local community, met so many incredible helpers, and had the privilege of being part of making even a small positive impact.
Doing this work has changed me for the better. And I hope to carry that change into everything I get to do in the future. I also hope Free-Op continues to inspire others to get involved, give back, and do their part for the greater good.
Thank you all, near and far, for your support, encouragement, donations, kind words, and belief in Free-Op over the years. I truly couldn’t have done it without you. 💕

I am so happy to introduce you all to Michelle Kunkle, our new CEO! Michelle has big dreams and big plans for Free-Op, along with the support, passion, and drive to make them happen. I know you’ll show her the same love and kindness you’ve shown me.
Please bear with us as we navigate this transition. There may be a few mishaps, missed messages, or growing pains along the way, but we’ll continue doing our best to serve our community and keep Free-Op moving forward.
