This summer camp is designed with love for bereaved siblings. Here, they can make new friends and share their experiences while taking time to heal in a safe, supportive environment with other kids who know how they feel.

We are completely overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love shown yesterday at our Second Annual Treemendous Toy Drive! ♥️

Throughout our sensory friendly and general session, we had over 200 families come through and collected 500+ toys for The Children's Institute, School For Blind Children, St. Anthony School Programs, The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh and Lemieux Family Center, and local school districts’ special education departments.

Thank you to all who supported our Foundations by way of volunteering, donations, sponsorships, and bringing your kiddos out for a fun family day to celebrate !

Grateful for our partnership with Benjamin Benefit Foundation and our ability to share Mason’s and Benjamin’s light during the holiday season. ♥️

We are proud to announce a new partnership between the Dravet Syndrome Foundation and Mason’s Movement Foundation. This collaboration is focused on supporting bereaved families within our community who have faced the unimaginable loss of a child or sibling to Dravet syndrome.

Through the Good Mourning Project, Mason’s Movement offers resources like carefully selected grief books and remembrance items for parents and siblings. Together, we aim to provide light in a time of darkness for those who need it most. Amanda and Matt Langford, founders of Mason’s Movement, shared, “When we lost Mason, the support we received from our community was invaluable. We are now honored to help others navigate their grief journey.”

Mary Anne Meskis, Executive Director of DSF, adds, “We deeply appreciate the Mason’s Movement Foundation for offering this invaluable support. Their assistance brings comfort during such a challenging time.”

Grateful for our friends at Benjamin Benefit Foundation and their partnership for our Empty Porch Project this year. With your help, the Empty Porch Project care packages were sent to 5 different states and over a dozen loss parents. 💛 💛

We also helped kick off Benjamin’s Backpacks, which provided over 50 backpacks, school supplies, and food to the Penn Trafford and Montour school districts. We put these girls to work! ✏️ 🏫

The back-to-school season is triggering on a loss parents heart. Sending love and hugs to our loss community this week, while remembering your sweet Angel babies. For all the empty porches where your child should be standing - and all the feelings of both joy and despair - we see you and hold space for you.

This school year and always, we are forever missing our boys. 💛
