TMMA Farms & Sanctuary A working farm & licensed 501C3 livestock rescue & sanctuary. We specialize in alpacas and llamas, special needs livestock and animal cruelty cases.

Life can change in an instant so, we have moved the sanctuary to Jamestown, Kentucky. TMMA Farms is a full working farm and sanctuary. We are also a 501C3 for rescue livestock and special needs livestock that find us. 🇺🇸 LABOR DAY WEEKEND! 🇺🇸

A whole weekend dedicated to taking a break from work.

Cute. 😂

We submitted our holiday request to the horses, llamas, alpacas, goats, donkeys, dogs, chickens, ducks and assorted freeloaders.

DENIED.

Apparently breakfast still has to be served, waters filled, stalls cleaned, medications given, gates checked and butts scratched.

We even mentioned it was a FEDERAL HOLIDAY.

They do not care. 🤣

So while y’all are at the lake, grilling and enjoying the long weekend…

We’ll be here celebrating LABOR Day exactly as the name suggests. 😝

Bad hair, don’t care. 😂🐴

Hershey woke up this morning and chose zero effort.

No brush. No comb. No shame. Just rolled out of the barn looking like she fought a leaf blower…and the leaf blower won. 🤣

But when you’re this cute, apparently the “electrocuted pasture pony” look is a whole vibe.

Rock it, Hershey. We support your questionable life choices. 😂❤️

P.S. Hershey is also rockin’ her slightly oversized fly mask—because her little nose needs protection too. 😝

🌾 Hay season is coming to an end! 🌾

There’s just something satisfying about looking out over the back pasture and seeing all those round bales lined up. ❤️

The Cowboy has been busy cutting, raking, baling, and putting up hay for both his cows and all the mouths here at the Sanctuary. 🐴🐐🦙🐑

It’s a whole lot of work during some of the hottest days of the year, but every bale means full bellies when the pastures turn brown and winter rolls in.

Around here, we don’t measure wealth in dollars… we measure it in round bales. 😂🌾

And right now, we’re feeling pretty rich!

Now to get them all up and back to the barn!!

🌙🐴 SAFE ENOUGH TO SLEEP — MAY 💤❤️

Last night’s nighttime check-in brought us this beautiful sight… May, completely stretched out and resting.

May will never be sound enough to ride. Her body will always carry the reminders of everything she’s been through. But here, she doesn’t have to be anything for anyone.

She doesn’t have to perform.
She doesn’t have to work.
She just gets to be May.

And seeing a horse who has been through so much feel safe and comfortable enough to lay down, close her eyes, and truly rest…

That’s rescue. That’s sanctuary. And THAT makes every single wave worth riding. ❤️

Safe enough to sleep. Safe enough to just be. Safe enough to call this home.

Our Vibe is Our Tribe. ❤️
It takes a Village, and May wouldn’t be here with us if it wasn’t for some amazing people that got involved to do what was best for her.
We are blessed.

One thing we’ve learned along this journey is that not everyone will understand every decision we make—and we’re ok with that. ❤️

Not every accusation deserves a response. Repeating something doesn’t make it true.

From day one, the core of TMMA Farms and Sanctuary has been simple:

What is best for the animal comes first. Always.

Some animals come to us broken, sick, old or unrideable. Others are perfectly healthy and lovingly relinquished by their owners, trusting us to provide the safe and loving home they have chosen for them.

That trust carries a responsibility we take very seriously.

When an owner entrusts an animal to our care and makes their wishes clear, we honor those wishes, protect that trust, and continue doing what is best for the animal. ❤️

We are also a farm, and the experience we gained as farmers continues to help us care for the animals entrusted to us.

We aren’t perfect. We learn, seek professional guidance when needed, and keep showing up—with the animals at the center of every decision.

And to those who found us and continue to follow us for all the right reasons—our incredible Village—thank you. ❤️
