🌟 August Member Spotlight: Tanya Orr, CFRE! 🌟

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Tanya Orr, CFRE, Founder & CEO of Purposeful Outcomes Philanthropy, LLC! Tanya has been serving in the nonprofit sector since 2010 and is passionate about helping organizations strengthen their fundraising efforts and create greater impact in the communities they serve.

For Tanya, fundraising is about people, relationships, and meaningful change. She believes that connecting generosity with purpose creates a ripple effect that helps nonprofits fulfill missions and improve lives. 💙

Tanya also shares how important AFP has been throughout her career—especially during times when she was a “development office of one.” Monthly meetings, networking events, and committee involvement have provided her with connection, inspiration, and a community of fellow fundraisers who understand the work.

Her advice to those entering the fundraising profession? Focus on building relationships. Trust, stewardship, communication, and understanding what inspires people to support causes they care about are at the heart of successful fundraising. 🙌

And a fun fact: Tanya and her husband love caving/spelunking and hope to explore all 150 caverns on their list! 🧗‍♀️ Her next travel adventure? Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.

Join us in celebrating Tanya and the impact she continues to make in our nonprofit community!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of AFP FL, First Coast member Tania Yount.

Tania was a dedicated fundraising professional and valued member of our philanthropic community. Through her commitment to serving others and advancing meaningful causes, she made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout our region.

She will be remembered for her passion, generosity, and dedication to strengthening our community. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please join us in keeping Tania's loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Tania Yount was more than Chief Development Officer for Barnabas Center. She was a compassionate and strong leader, a dedicated professional and a remarkable person. Yesterday, with her dad by her side, Tania passed away.

Tania took pride in her work because she wanted the community to benefit from it. She never looked for accolades. Her reward was supporting Barnabas Center's mission to help people where they needed it and when they needed it most. She led the charge to transform our nutrition services program, researching and writing grants so our clients could access healthy food instead of processed sugar. Her passion helped Barnabas Center become a recognized Healthy Pantry through Feeding Northeast Florida.

It was an honor to know Tania. Northeast Florida, and especially Nassau County, is better because of her passion, her servant's heart and her unwavering dedication to others. We are grateful for the impact she made, the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
