Great meeting last night. Lion Julie Suhm accompanied by DG Fran Walker came to talk to us about a new District Project. When Veterans are discharged from the Veterans Hospital if they have no one in their lives to bring clothes for their trip home, they are sent home in a hospital gown. This is more prevalent with male veterans. We will be collecting pants (preferably elastic waist pants) to assist with this project. We are also looking for shoe boxes for another type of donations for Veterans.
