We often talk about wanting our children to do "better" than we did, but I try to be careful about how I define that.

The real upgrade isn't found in higher grades, bigger wins, or shinier milestones.

The true legacy is freedom.

I want them to be smarter at knowing their own worth. I want them to go further in choosing lives that actually fit, and to heal faster from the inevitable weight of being human. I want them to win bigger — not in trophies, but in peace, presence, and the quiet courage to stay true to themselves.

The goal isn't for them to repeat my life or mirror my achievements. It is for them to stand on the floor that I spent my life building and reach for a level of wholeness I am still learning to name.

They aren’t here to be versions of us. They are here to be unapologetically themselves. ❤️
