The Mississippi Forestry Foundation trustees are pleased to announce their recent agreement with the Mississippi Children's Museum in Jackson to provide $250,000 in funding over the next five years to support forestry exhibit renovations at the museum!

Throughout each year, the foundation hosts several fundraisers. The funds raised from these efforts, beginning in July 2026, will go directly to this $250,000 contribution goal. That means donations made from the Sip the Forest fundraiser and Annual Meeting gun raffle, draw down, and additional raffles will be used to renovate the forestry exhibits. These efforts will go a long way, but the trustees also need your help.

As opportunities arise, please give generously to continue forestry’s legacy for Mississippi children. If your company has funds for donations such as this, please reach out to your leadership to share the need for donations to continue improving the Mississippi Children’s Museum’s forestry exhibit.

Yesterday, MFA Workforce Development Coordinator Susan Shedd exhibited at the Franklin County High School Career Fair alongside other members of the forestry community. With over 84,000 total forestry or forestry-related jobs in Mississippi, workforce development plays an important role in MFA's efforts to support our members.
