Last week Partridge Creek Farm,Maresa Health Education , and MSU Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center hosted the 4th annual Central UP Farm-to-School Institute at the The Mather in Ishpeming. 🌱

This professional development opportunity invited educators, community partners, and school food service managers to attend this FREE event and learn more about incorporating local food into their schools and other exciting topics!

We are grateful for this generous donation! With the support of the The Rotary Club of Marquette we will be able make necessary upgrades to our school garden so our students can safely learn in this space!

Shana Donner, Operations and Finance Director, and Mary Andronis, Programs and Partnerships Director, of Partridge Creek Farms receive a contribution from President Chuck. The funds will go toward their School Garden project.

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to celebrate Earth Day 🌎 with Ishpeming Students and valued community members unveiling the new School Greenhouse in the Ishpeming Middle School Garden!

During this celebration 🎉 Ishpeming Public Schools High School Applied Horticulture CTE (Career Technical Education) class (called Flipping the Food System) led attendees in planting the first ever seeds in the School Greenhouse.

Thank you to Lake Superior Community Partnership for organizing this event and thank you to the community members, parents, and students who joined us and made this event special for our students!
