139 years strong.
100 years on Su***de Hill.

This weekend marked the culmination of more than five months of planning — and the work, heart, and dedication of so many.

Thank you to our board, partners, volunteers, athletes, officials, hill crew, safety teams, sponsors, vendors, promoters, and our incredible community for making the 139th Annual Ishpeming Ski Club Ski Jumping Tournament a success.

Athletes traveled from 10 states and 2 countries.
Attendance was phenomenal.
And every dollar raised goes directly back into the Ishpeming Ski Club’s Nordic programs, facilities, and equipment.

Grateful. Proud. Already looking ahead.

Thank you, TV6!

Audrey Stetson and John Redfield checked out the action at the U.P. Nordic Ski Complex ahead of the tournament's evening kickstart. The 139-year tradition brings ski jumpers from all over the country and world right to our Upper Peninsula for a celebration of the extreme sport.

COPPER PEAK UPDATE: MAJOR MILESTONE REACHED

We've completed the blasting phase at the world's largest ski jump and have spent the last few weeks clearing and processing the rock spoils from the hill. This marks a significant step forward in our transformation of this iconic facility.

The cleared rock is being carefully screened to remove dirt, fines, and miscellaneous debris before being strategically placed back on the hill for drainage below the new concrete slab. This drainage system is critical for managing the substantial water volume during summer jumping competitions and spring runoff from Upper Peninsula winters.

Next phase: We're preparing to begin drilling operations that will support the blast rock layer and future concrete slab installation. Each step brings us closer to creating the only ski-flying facility in the Western Hemisphere capable of hosting international competitions.

The precision required for these operations reflects the technical demands of building infrastructure that must meet International Ski Federation standards while serving as a global destination.

Thank you to Dykon Blasting Corp and Barr Engineering Co. for your collaboration!
