Petal Pushers & the Lutheran Hour Ministries Float A group of volunteers who decorate floats for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade to help fund the Lutheran Hour Ministries Rose Parade float.

The Petal Pushers® are a group of more than 5,000 volunteers who decorate the Lutheran Hour Ministries float as well as many other floats in the annual New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade. Each year these volunteers travel to Pasadena from throughout the United States. They represent all walks of life and range in age from 13 to over 85; they represent church groups, senior citizens organizations, Girl and Boy Scout troops, youth groups, and families.

Each summer the float gets to take a couple of test drives around the area of the float barn.
Today was T-1, the first test drive. Perhaps her maiden voyage.
Later this summer we will have T-2 with riders and a float fire drill where everyone (riders, spotter, and driver) need to safely get off the float in 45 seconds.

Inspired by this year’s theme, Welcome!, our float celebrates the beautiful truth that God’s promises are for everyone. Just like the story of Noah’s Ark, it’s a joyful reminder that we are all invited, all loved, and all belong.

In a world that longs for connection and community, this design reflects the warmth of being seen, valued, and welcomed. From every creature to every person, God’s love extends to all.
