The annual event was founded by local organizers Craig and Kathleen Hostert of Fullerton. Kathleen, formerly an elementary school teacher and now OneLegacy's Manager of Communications, donated a kidney to her husband Craig in 1998. The Donate Life Run/Walk at Cal State Fullerton is the largest Donate Life event which inspires Southern Californians to donate life. The run and walk is followed by a

Family Health Festival and Expo with area food vendors, free health screenings, live entertainment, special activities for children and a raffle drawing.
