COR CDC was proud to take part in the 10th Annual Family Health Festival in Long Beach! With more than 20 exhibitors and over 300 attendees, the festival promotes health awareness and encourages families to make positive changes in their daily lives.

We connected with more than 100 children and families through our interactive "Spin the Wheel: Question or Challenge" game and each family walked away with a healthy snack bag.

Thank you to the Family Health Festival for having us!

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov 3, and we want you to feel ready. Join us at COR CDC for two free evenings with your neighbors:

📘 Thu, Oct 15 | November Ballot Review: we'll break down every proposition in plain language, so you can come with questions and leave with confidence.

🎉 Thu, Oct 29 | GOTV Ballot Party: bring your friends and family, and we'll help you fill out your ballot, seal it up, and find the nearest drop box or vote center.

Both nights run 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 210 Goddard, Irvine, CA 92618. Light refreshments provided, and everyone is welcome. Don't leave your ballot on the kitchen table. Show up, fill it out, and turn it in together.

Safe Content Creation: a 6-week course for teens (ages 12-17)

Your teen is already creating content. Let's help them do it safely and confidently.

COR CDC's Young Entrepreneur Academy is launching Safe Content Creation, a free 6-week course where students learn to plan, shoot, edit, and share content they're proud of, while building real habits for staying safe online.

Every student leaves with one safe piece of content they made. Parents, this is a chance to give your teen creative skills and smart online habits, all in one supportive space. Teens, this is your chance to build something you're proud of.

COR CDC was honored to join more than 500 funders, nonprofit leaders, and community partners at the OC Grantmakers 2026 Annual Summit on October 1. This year marks 20 years of OCG bringing philanthropy, nonprofits, and the public sector together to build a more equitable Orange County.

The full-day convening featured inspiring keynote speakers, and breakout sessions on the strategies and stories shaping our region. We led a breakout session, "From Folding Tables to Future Leaders," sharing the story of our latest programs in Costa Mesa.

Thank you to Taryn Palumbo, the OC Grantmakers team, and the Summit Committee for creating such a powerful space for connection, and to every funder, partner, and neighbor who believes in our young people.

What an incredible day of civic engagement!

The NAACP Orange County Branch, in partnership with the Orange County (CA) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and NPHC Orange County, joined community members at COR Church in Irvine on September 12th for a dynamic Civic Engagement Summit.

The event highlighted the importance of voter education, voter registration, and voter turnout, inspiring attendees to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
