The Orange County Power Authority’s (OCPA) Renter Energy Efficiency Program is open.

Eligible renters can receive a plug‑in portable HVAC unit (for cooling and heating) and a portable battery system at NO COST (valued at $1,500), helping reduce peak energy use when used efficiently, improve comfort, and increase resilience without requiring landlord approval.
Eligibility OCPA customer (Buena Park, Fullerton, and Irvine)

Complete the application by April 5th,Eligible applications will be entered into a raffle and receive the products delivered at home

COR CDC wrapped up the first cohort of 2026 for Banking on Your Success with a pitch competition. Our 6-week small business entrepreneur course provides individuals interested in starting their own business or already have a business get the resources and tools necessary to be successful.

Congratulations to Lekker Kitchen, Heavenly Bites and Independent Document Assistance Services on winning the first ($2500), second ($1500), and third ($1000) prizes!

COR CDC joined Bright Youth and several other organizations for a community Posada at Shalimar Park. It truly is remarkable what happens when people who care come together to build a stronger and brighter community.

From the moms cooking papusas, volunteers giving out toys, children doing Christmas crafts to the Posada procession and cultural dances, the evening was full of cheer.

COR CDC was thrilled to give away a large flat screen TV to one of our community moms! A special thanks to Costa Mesa Police Chief LaPointe and Officer Carlos for joining the festivities.

COR CDC held its final Banking on Your Success (BYS) Bootcamp for 2025 on Small Business Resiliency. Trainers from the CA Office of the Small Business Advocate presented a thorough workshop on what small businesses and organizations need to do to be better prepared for and resilient when the unexpected happens.
