Fe is a first time volunteer for 1in3out. An avid hiker, she traded her weekly adventures through hills and mountains with a different kind of challenge. Here's her account of her Sunday with us.

"Despite the countless raindrops and the massive flow of floodwaters, there were still hearts that chose to serve as sunshine and blessings that became a source of hope for everyone

Maulan noong araw na iyon, pero hindi naging hadlang ang panahon para matuloy ang outreach program. Habang nakikita ko ang mga bata na masayang tumatanggap ng mga ibinibigay namin, unti-unti kong narealize kung gaano ako kaswerte sa mga bagay na madalas kong ituring na ordinaryo lang. Minsan, sa simpleng pagbibigay natin, may pusong hindi natin alam na napapasaya natin.

Sa araw na iyon, hindi lang ako nakapagbigay, may natanggap din ako. Natanggap ko ang saya, pasasalamat, at isang pusong mas handang magbahagi. Umalis ako roon na dala ang mga ngiti at alaala, at isang reminder sa akin. Hindi kailangang marami ang mayroon tayo para maging pagpapala sa iba.

Even if the blessings we gave could be measured, the smiles on their faces were beyond measure. And that’s what made the whole experience worth it, going home with their smiles in our hearts."

We travelled to Navotas to serve members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, considered by the Philippine government as poor (based on a standardized system). Despite the heavy rain, the sun shined that Sunday and we traveled through still-flooded streets to fulfill our monthly duties. Salamat to all our sponsors for making this event possible. And a big shoutout to all our dedicated and hard-working volunteers.

Araw ng pagbabahagi sa Brgy. Looc, Cardona, Rizal.

Minsan, ang mga pinaka magagandang kwento ay matatagpuan sa mga lugar na hindi gaanong napapansin. Ang Cardona, Rizal ay isang tahimik na bayan sa tabi ng Laguna de Bay, na biniyayaan ng napakagandang tanawin. Ngunit sa likod ng ganda nito, may mga pamilyang araw-araw na nagsisikap para maitawid ang kanilang pangangailangan.

Sa aming pagbisita sa Brgy. Looc, nakapagbahagi kami ng munting tulong sa ilan sa mga pamilya sa komunidad. Hindi man ito kalakihan, umaasa kaming nakapagbigay ito ng kaunting pag-asa at ngiti sa kanilang mga puso.

Naniniwala kami na ang tunay na yaman ay hindi nasusukat sa dami ng ating pag-aari, kundi sa dami ng ating naibabahagi. Patuloy pa rin po kaming magsasagawa ng mga outreach program sa iba't ibang komunidad. Kung nais ninyo pong maging bahagi ng misyong ito bilang sponsor o donor—sa pagkain, school supplies, grocery items, o anumang tulong—malugod namin kayong tatanggapin.

Ang bawat munting ambag ay may malaking epekto sa buhay ng isang pamilya. Maaari po kayong mag-message sa aming page kung nais ninyong makiisa. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng sumusuporta at naniniwala na sa sama-samang pagtutulungan, mas marami pa tayong mabibigyan ng pag-asa.

It’s a very special event when some of our online followers abroad decide to join us in one of our community outreach. That’s exactly what Kyla and Nhel did with us last month as they joined us in our return to Puting Kahoy, Batangas. Now residing in Canada, the couple saved a Saturday in the middle of their hectic vacation itinerary to be part of our monthly adventures. From goods preparation and distribution, handing Jollibee burgers to the kids, and enjoying the games themselves, Kyla and Nhel got to experience the full 1in3out DDAY.

We were here in Puting Kahoy last December but we chose to return as requested by our guests to help their fellow Batangueños. We’re back with the usual rice and groceries for the family, and a delicious lunch for the kids. Last trip was highlighted by the cheers of the children, playing the games we hosted and enjoying the meals we provided. This time, the mothers shined brighter, enjoying the games more than their kids. Overall a joyous Saturday for this small community.

This event was made possible by the generosity of our friends, Kyla and Nhel. They not only sponsor the entire outreach but also was part of the event itself. 1in3out hopes that many more balikbayan will join us in one of the many upcoming events we have lined up. Cheers to all our volunteers as well for keeping their dedication strong. Maraming salamat sa lahat!

Kyle is one of our first-time volunteers at our most recent event in Brgy. Puray. Here is his firsthand account of how he spent his Sunday with us:

“Not knowing what to expect, I joined 1in3out on our outreach to Brgy. Pugay, Rizal. The journey going there was already a challenge. The road was rough, full of lubak, and difficult to pass through. But despite this, the team didn’t give up and remained determined to reach the community.

When we arrived, we were faced with another challenge. We didn’t have a proper place to pack the goods we were going to distribute. With no time to waste, we immediately started packing under the heat of the sun. It was tiring, but everyone stayed committed because we knew the purpose of why we were there.

One moment that really stayed with me was when we served spaghetti to the community. It may seem simple, but seeing the smiles on their faces made it special. The children were also very happy during the games. Even small prizes like candies and chocolates made them excited. You could see how they smiled and appreciated every little thing they received.

This experience reminded me of something important:

“Sa simpleng bagay, makikita mo ang tunay na saya.”

We often complain about small inconveniences in our daily lives, but when you see their situation, you realize how they live simply yet happily.

Being part of this outreach inspired me to appreciate more, complain less, and always find ways to help others.

A big thanks to everyone who made this outreach possible. Your support and generosity bring not just help, but also hope and happiness to the community.

After celebrating our 5th year anniversary and our 50th outreach to end 2025, 1in3out is starting 2026 late but with 2 outreach for the month of March. Starting off at Brgy Puray, Rizal - a little over an hour drive outside of Manila. That dusty tail end of this trip was an adventure for our vehicle and volunteers. But reaching Puray and spending that Sunday with its people was worth the challenge.

This outreach was made possible by our friends from Pomona, California: Wavlngth., Dom and The Gangcuangco Family, and all their friends. Their fundraiser last year has funded this entire event, and has provided temporary relif for the 150 families who calls Puray their home. Thank you so much from us here in 1in3out and the people of Puray. Maramig salamat po!

Help Us Help Them. Our slogan goes both ways! We aim to lend a hand to other organizations helping those who need them. We’ve collaborated with plenty of groups before, and our last outreach of 2025 is another one for the books!

Brgy San Jose has the highest number of solo parents in the city of Antipolo. A short drive outside Manila, concerned individuals have formed a coalition to tackle this concern. Most notably, with how solo parents juggle their lives making a living and raising their offspring with proper education.

Solo PARent Ka-barangay San Jose (SPARKS) invited us to assist in their very first event hosting solo parents from neighboring towns as well. The main idea is for solo parents to have a voice to express themselves to fellow solo parents willing to listen. Share resources on livelihood programs and opportunities. And for their kids to be with their peers who are facing a tougher path to growing up.

Ending 2025, we now have performed 50 outreaches since the inception of our organization. Along the way, we’ve helped thousands of families and individuals. We will continue this momentum to 2026 with a list of sites to visit and looking forward to the many smiles waiting for us. Thank you for a successful 2025!
