The lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water and deeper water, and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over. The YMCA of Indiana County/Mack Park Pool has been approved to feed any child, 18 and under, for the summer. This includes Pre-K, Head Start, childcare, as well as children from local private schools. This year, we are back to feed kids a hot lunch at Mack Park Pool between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Registration is encouraged so we know how many lunches to make.

Youth Volleyball league is an open event with no per-determined teams. Participants will be split into random teams under the supervision of the Sports Coordinator. Games are played to 21. While there are no coaches or referees, a mediator will be present to keep score and make calls if necessary. This league is designed to give every participant the opportunity to practice game situations in a pick-up league type format.
