New Life family and friends,
Tomorrow morning we'll continue our study in 2 Samuel with a message entitled: When the War Won't End: Trusting God's Purposes When Conflict Refuses to Go Away. Our focus will be 2 Samuel 2–4, and I would encourage you to take a few minutes to read those chapters before worship if you have the opportunity. These chapters take us into a season of division, political intrigue, shifting loyalties, personal ambition, and ongoing conflict. Yet in the middle of all the chaos, God's purposes continue moving forward. Together we'll explore three important truths:
• Conflict Reveals Character
• Conflict Exposes Motives
• Conflict Cannot Stop God's Purposes
Along the way, we'll wrestle with some questions that are just as relevant today as they were in David's day: What is really driving us? Why do we do what we do? What motives are hiding beneath the surface of our decisions, words, and actions? Am I serving God's kingdom, or am I really serving my own interests? Am I willing to trust God's timing instead of forcing my own outcomes? Whether you're facing conflict at work, in relationships, within your family, or simply struggling to understand God's timing, I believe this passage offers both challenge and encouragement. We'll also gather around the Lord's Table as we remember the faithfulness of God and the sacrifice of Jesus. Plan on joining us tomorrow – we worship at 10 am.
Stay close to Jesus friends,
PD
