Thank you to Mrs. Chakot’s 7th Grade Family Consumer Science class for donating fresh bread! And yes, you heard that right… these students made these beautiful loaves of bread themselves! 🥖

We were so excited to serve these delicious, homemade loaves alongside a warm bowl of soup for our M2Y clients. What a wonderful way to share kindness, learn new skills, and give back to the community!

Thank you, Mrs. CHAKOT and your amazing students, for thinking of our clients and sharing your talents with us. Your generosity truly makes a difference! 🥰

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who came out to help cut peppers! We had two different groups come in, but everyone seemed to have a great time working together, sharing laughs, and making the day fun. We’re so grateful for your time, hard work, and willingness to help. We couldn’t do it without you! 🫑💚

A big thank you to Community Life Department at St. Andrews Village for helping stuff our most recent mailing!

The vocational group was led by our former Outreach Coordinator, Tristen, and a class of future registered nurses from Nightingale College as part of our "Active Aging Week."

St. Andrew's Village focuses on a Montessori-Style Approach of purposeful living where we encourage our residents to continue living lives of meaning each day when they wake up. They were excited to help the Chevy Chase Center and continue to make a difference in the world.

Thank you to Amiee and Sarah from Kiewit for dropping off breakfast sandwiches from Sanso’s to the center 🥯

Cari came into the center and gave Adriene a wonderful little lesson in baking! Together, they made an amazing apple cake using fresh apples. With the leftover apples, they whipped up a delicious apple tart as well. 🍎

Both were absolutely awesome! Thank you, Cari, for sharing your baking skills and making such a fun and memorable treat. We’re already looking forward to the next lesson! 🍰🥧💚

We were so happy to have Martha as our greeter! She welcomed everyone with a warm smile and directed them where they needed to go. Thank you, Martha, for being such a wonderful greeter! 💚

❤️ Thank You, Elks of Indiana! ❤️

We are so grateful to the Elks of Indiana for their incredible generosity and support of the Chevy Chase Community Center!

Members of the Elks recently stopped by to present a generous donation made possible through a grant they received on behalf of the Chevy Chase Center. But their support didn’t stop there! They also rolled up their sleeves and volunteered in our kitchen and in our market, helping wherever they were needed.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Marie has also volunteered to deliver one of our Meals 2 You routes this week, helping make sure meals reach members of our community who are homebound or unable to get out.

We are truly thankful for organizations like the Elks of Indiana who give not only financially, but also generously give their time, energy, and hearts to our community. Your kindness and willingness to help make such a difference! ❤️

Thank you for supporting the Chevy Chase Community Center and the people we serve!
We appreciate you more than you know! 🍎🥕❤️
If you or someone you know is interested in helping out, please call or email [email protected].
