Today. Engine 8-2, Tanker 8, and PA8 responded to a collision with a vehicle on fire on Port To***co Road near Mopar Place in Ironsides. Engine 8-2 arrived and quickly stretched a line to extinguish the fire. The occupants had fled the area prior to arrival. The area was searched for victims, but none were located. Other units were returned to service.

Engine 8-2 responded on this incident yesterday morning in LaPlata. The crew assisted with performing searches and ventilation.

At 4:10 AM this morning, staff at the Green Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center notified the 911 center of a fire reported in the rear of the building and on the roof. Our members spent the morning training on pump operations and flowing master streams. This allowed additional drivers to get acclimated with drafting with our new engine. Just before noon, Engine 8-2, our 2026 Pierce Enforcer Engine was placed in service. The unit will now run as the front-line engine.
