USBTA was proud to participate in a working visit to the Zhytomyr Academy of Police in Ukraine this week alongside representatives from UNOPS and the OSCE.

Our mission is to advance the profession of bomb technicians and foster collaboration across the global EOD community. This visit was a direct reflection of that mission in action.

We observed their training, engaged with academy leadership, and participated in a roundtable on how to best support their continued professional development. These conversations are how our professional standards travel, how we build trust, and how the global bomb tech community grows stronger together.

Thank you to the OSCE and UNOPS for organizing this visit and to the Zhytomyr Academy of Police for welcoming us.

Only a few spots remain.

The X-ray Focused Technology Training Exercise (FTTE) is approaching, and space is limited to just 24 technicians.

This is an opportunity to sharpen one of the most essential skills in the field: X-ray interpretation for IED identification and threat assessment.

Hosted by the United States Bomb Technician Association, this training delivers hands-on experience with leading technology and expert instruction on tools like XTK.
